Cedar Rapids, Iowa is home to Running Wild, a store with friendly employees and an even friendlier dog to greet the customers.

They seem to have a broad scope of customers, as while we were in there we saw both an older gentlemen making a purchase and a high school cross country runner looking for spikes. They have group runs twice a week, and support a myriad of local races.

This year they are putting on their first ever cross country race trilogy, which sounds like an interesting option for the hot summer months. While this store was small and quaint, the employees are knowledgeable and eager to help.

  1. The employees at Running Wild are great and take the time to fit you with proper shoes. They're also always supportive of any race you are running, and have a wall full of entry forms for local races.
